Description
The camp has a long sandy beach, campfire circles, running water, showers, and easy access from the main road. There is plenty of room for tenting in the grassed open areas of the camp. There are good roadways to the back of the camp, to the very popular "Newfoundland" field, next to the Northumberland Strait.
There are buildings in the camp for group use. One building had major work done in 2012 including new windows, doors, roof, wheelchair access ramp, and washrooms. This building has a wood stove installed and is available for groups to rent late fall and winter months as well as the rest of the year.
There is a log cabin, away from the headquarters area and accessible by a road. The cabin sleeps 8 and was updated in 2012 with many improvements including a new roof, raising and levelling, new door, and window screens.
The camp faced closure in 2009.
