Bill S-27

Senator Consiglio Di Nino (C-ON) has introduced Bill S-27: An Act respecting Scouts Canada in the Senate of Canada. The bill would enact the Scouts Canada Act. According to its official description,

This enactment consolidates and updates the statutes governing the corporation known as the Boy Scouts of Canada in order to reflect more accurately its current status in Canada. It also changes the name of the corporation to "Scouts Canada" and makes other technical and incidental changes relating to the administration of its affairs.

The bill has been assigned to the Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
