Description
The hall opened circa 1950 and features a hall, kitchen, meeting rooms, and rifle range. Outside is a field which backs on the city's Gilwell Park and connecting trail system. The land was leased from the city. The hall closed circa 2015 after an effort by local Scouting to take control failed. In summer 2020, the city purchased the building for $1 and assumed liability for asbestos and lead in the building. The land is proposed to be sold to a developer for townhouses.
