Description

George Lake is a wilderness camp offering a challenge to those more experienced campers. The camp is well known for its great fishing, beach, beauty, and ruggedness. There are seven canoes at the camp. Bring your own PFDs. There is one cabin with three wood stoves, a propane cook stove, and bunks with mattresses for 24 people.

To access the camp, put in at Point du Bois, Eight Foot Falls campground. Boat 6 km down the Winnipeg River to the portage. Hike in 3 km from there. George Lake Outfitters will drop you off at the portage if desired.
