Description

The ultimate experience in canoeing. Located on the waters of the French River, Scouts enjoy the high adventure by paddling more than fifty miles on the various channels of the river all in one week. A rewarding and challenging experience.

The landscape is pristine and and the sights are wondrous. This is one of the most memorable experiences a Scout can have and this trip is a wonderful adventure in outdoorsmanship.

Access is by water taxi from Hartley Bay Marina.

Tinnerman Canoe Base was sold in May, 2012 and is now a private residence. The council decided to close the base because it is many hours drive away and competition from the new Summit Bechtel Reserve is expected to reduce usage.
